Flavours and Colours

In every corner of Tuscany there are amazing colours and flavours.  If you are tempted to enjoy more than wine,  you will have the opportunity to taste the many flavours that each town is famous for. You will discover the lovely colours and unique flavours of  fantastic foods such as extra virgin olive oil, cheese, salami, chocolate, and honey.

SAN GIMIGNANO

-extra virgin olive oil first cold press processed mechanically, no heat is used, no added chemicals are introduced; very high quality!

-pecorino cheese in a dairy farm including how the production and the ageing takes place.

-chocolate in  tablets, cream and pralines produced by a local producer.

-white wine, the Vernaccia produced in and around the hill town of San Gimignano
-saffron its warm red-orange colour, contains pigments which have effective anti-   oxidation properties.


CHIANTI

-red wine, the Chianti of course! Produced with Sangiovese, the local grape.

-balsamic vinegar with its characteristic sweet-sour-aromatic flavour. Excellent on all vegetables both cooked and raw, meat, fish, cheese, fruit or ice-cream!

-salami  of Cinta  Senese  produced by Cinta pigs fed mainly on acorns, their flesh is solid, tasty, well veined with fat.

-honey is the golden delicious alternative to sugar with many health benefits.

MONTALCINO

-The Brunello,  one of the most expensive and long-lived  red wine in the world!

- pecorino cheese in an organic dairy farm including how the production and the ageing takes place. Cheeses are different aged....some in walnut leafs, others in caves, ashes or grape skins.

-patisserie like cakes and cookies daily produced in an old familiar bakery.
